I’m a journalist. I love finding stories, knocking on doors and combing through state documents to find something nobody else has reported.

While I’ve covered a range of beats including business, health and politics, my heart is in criminal justice reporting. I love covering courts, cops and crime. I’m especially interested in the effect the system has on the average people who come into contact with it.

I’ve written for a number of outlets including The Washington Post, The Dallas Morning News, USA Today, the Colorado Springs Gazette and the Columbia Missourian. My stories have been picked up by the Associated Press and regional wires. I’ve also worked for Religion Newswriters Association, the Alfred Friendly Press Partners program and the city government of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri in May 2016 with degrees in investigative journalism and Spanish.
